The Quad City Knock will be closed until police can thoroughly investigate a shooting that occurred in the parking lot and sent four people to the hospital last week. Police Cheif Greg Ray recommended that the nightclub be closed because of complaints and draining of police resources tending to the club. Fire Marshall Terry Lenz said that club owner Sam Black has been cited twice for overcrowding, but that Black is always easy to work with and has corrected any problems cited by the fire marshall. Black said that there have been no incidents that required police to enter his club and he simply wants to provide a venue for young blacks in the Shoals. Black said that he not sure what he could have done to prevent the incident, and asked the city council to complete the investigation quickly.
