A 28 year old man is being held for questioning by authorities in connection with vandalism that took place at a construction site on the Natchez Trace Parkway. The man was arrested at his home on Lauderdale 5, just a few hundred feet away from where a construction crane was damaged. Investigators said that over $2000 damage was done to the crane, mainly to the crane's controls and computer. The man was picked up on an outstanding warrant from Florence police but is being questioned about the damage done to the crane. The case is being worked by sheriff's investigators Clifford Whitten and Thomas McCluskey in conjunction with the Natchez Trace Parkway rangers.
