Local Entrepreneur Bob Carson recently announced his candidacy for Tuscumbia City Council District 5, and began his campaign after qualifications opened June 1st. Carson operates "The Depot Restaurant" on Water Street in Tuscumbia, which he co-owns with his wife. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army Signal Corps, and has been a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 760 for 48 years now. The primaries will be held August 26th, in which the two candidates receiving the most votes in their district will participate in the municipal election later this year.
