Crash Victims Identified

The victims from a Sunday crash have been identified as Scott Anthony Chadwell. 24 year old Chadwell was the passenger in a pickup truck that was involved in a crash at the intersection of Cox Creek Parkway and Savannah Highway on Sunday evening at about 6 pm. Chadwell's brother, 23 year old Bradley Chadwell was driving the pickup truck when they turned left into the path of an 18 wheeler, which struck the pickup and pushed it into a culvert. Scott Anthony Chadwell was pronounced dead at the scene by Lauderdale County Coroner Andy High. Bradley Chadwell was flown to Huntsville Hospital by AirEvac, where he was upgraded to serious condition by late Monday, but remains in the surgical intensive care unit. The Chadwell's pickup truck had Oregon license plates and emergency personnel said they had just moved to the area. The truck driver, 49 year old Kenny Rich from Huntington, Tennessee was not injured in the wreck. The accident is still under investigation by the Alabama Dept. of Public Safety's Quad-Cities Post.
