Landmark Fountain Needs Repair

Florence Mayor Bobby Irons faces a dilemma:  He has to find a way to repair the deterioration and still preserve the original style of the Wilson Park Fountain in the middle of downtown Florence.  Built in 1934, the fountain was a gift to the city from Florence resident Hyrum Kennedy Dougla.  The mayor says he hopes to have the fountain repaired by next Summer, hopefully without destroying the traditional structure, but replacement may be necessary.
