50 year old Zachary Smith has been sentenced to fifteen years in prison for killing Arthur Pete davis during an argument that took place in 2007. During his sentencing, he apologized to the victim's family and asked that they forgive him. Smith was originally charged with murder, but pleaded guilty to manslaughter in April. An argument that took place outside Smith's home on Lauderdale 63 on July 14, 2007, resulted in Smith shooting Davis, who was 48 at the time, with a shotgun.
