Florence police arrested the second gunman involved in a shooting in Florence on July 30. Marcus Dewayne Lee is charged with attempted murder and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle after he and another man, Maurice Thompson, fired into an occupied car on West Mobile Street. Thompson turned himself in to authorities last week. The driver of the car was not injured in the shooting. Florence Police Sgt Rolando Bogran said his department worked with agents from the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the U.S. Marshal's office to develop information that led to Lee's arrest. Officers were getting into place for an arrest after information led them the City Lodge on Court Street in Florence when officers saw Lee come out a room. Lee was taken into custody without incident and is being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center without bail.
