Two men that were thwarted in a home robbery began throwing stolen items out of the car window when police began pursuing them. 60 year old Raymond Edward Hester and 49 year old Ricky Dale Hall tried to break into a home in East Franklin County when the homeowner called the police and gave them a description of the men and vehicle. The suspects saw her and fled. An hour later, a car matching the description was located on Franklin 79, but the car refused to stop for police. Hester and Hall began throwing items out the window, such as jewelry, stereos and books that were believed to have been stolen. Franklin County Sheriff Larry Plott said that the suspects were not simply trying to rid themselves of stolen property, but were actually attempting to stop the deputy's pursuit by throwing the items. Hester and Hall both have multiple burglary convictions over the last 15 years and are currently in the Franklin County Jail being held without bail.
