Tennessee Father And Son Face Death Penalty

48 year old William David Nard and his 26 year old son Greg Leon Nard, both of Iron City, are facing the death penalty after being indicted on capital murder charges. he two are accused of killing a Lauderdale County man during a 2007 robbery and burglary. Two Tennessee men are accused of killing 42 year old James Gregory White at his home in Greenhill on January 27, 2007. They were originally charged with murder, but Lauderdale County District Attorney Chris Connolly said that the capital murder charges are the result of the homicide taking place during the commission of another felony.A third defendant, Norman Earnest Widdowson, 43, was indicted on a murder charge and, while he does not face the death penalty, does face life in prison.William Nard is being held without bond at the Franklin County Jail in Russellville, and Greg Nard is being held without bond at the Walker County Jail in Jasper.
