25 year old Cory Walker, 25 year old Kenneth Bradley Keller, and 41 year old Christopher Blake Holt have been arrested in connection with a rash of burglaries that took place over the weekend in Cherokee. According to Colbert County Sheriff Ronnie May, the three are accused of being involved in 12 to 13 burglaries that ocurred between Saturday night and early Sunday morning. Walker is charged with second-degree receiving stolen property, Keller is charged with first-degree burglary, and Holt is charged with burglary. May added that while six residences outside the city limits were burglarized, there were also more burglaries reported within Cherokee's city limits. Cherokee Police Chief Frank Ragan said that along with two businesses, storage facilities at four or five residences were burglarized. The men took whatever they could lay their hands on, with the list of items including electronics, chain saws, pressure washer, a four wheeler, battery chargers, a can of gas, and weed trimmers. Ragan also said that more charges are pending against the men, all of whom are being held in the Colbert County Jail without bail. |
