Two Franklin County men are accused of repeat sodomy on a family member. 74-year-old Buddy Wes Barker of Vina is accused of first degree sexual abuse and his 18-year-old accomplice and the victim's cousin, Cody Alan Payton of Red Bay is charged with first degree sodomy. Barker is accused of forced fondling of a 17 year old family aquaintance and Payton is accused of forcing a man to have sex with him. Franklin County Dept. of Human Resources was notified by medical personnel and then the Sheriff's Department was brought into the investigation. Franklin County DHR Director, Jerry Groce says about forty sexual abuse cases have come across his desk this year, and just two have involved a male victim. Both Barker and Payton are being held in the Franklin County Jail without bail and both are facing up to 10 years in prison if convicted
