Two Leighton Men Arrested On Drug Charges

31 year old Thomas Recarder Fuqua and 38 year old Roger O'Neal Neloms, both of Leighton, have been arrested and are accused of selling drugs to an undercover police officer. According to Wayne County Sheriff Ric Wilson, both men are charged with unlawful possession of schedule 2 narcotics (crack cocaine) for resale. He added that the arrests are a part of an ongoing investigation into drug activity in the county. The arrest took place in the parking lot of a business near the Alabama-Tennessee state line. At the time of the arrest, more than $1500 in cash was seized from the two men. Neloms was released on bail totaling $50,000, while Fuqua remains in the Wayne County Jail on $50,000 bond.
