Lauderdale County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Florence man in connection with a shooting death in March. Travis Leon Young, 46, was arrested on a grand jury indictment for manslaughter. Young is accused of killing 47-year-old Sheri Young. The two are not related. Sheri Young died in the early morning hours of March 24th from a gunshot wound to the face. According to a witness, Sheri Young had been beating on the door to Travis Young's trailer with a stick when she was shot. Travis Young is being held on bail of $10,000.
