Prosecutors Question Christie Scott

The courtroom was packed Thursday as Christie Scott took the stand again. This time, Franklin County District Attorney Joey Rushing was the one asking the questions. Scott is on trial for capital murder in Russellville. She's accused of starting the house fire that killed her six-year-old son Mason Scott. Mason had a total of $175,000 in life insurance at the time of his death in August 2008. Rushing grilled Scott about why she listed on the insurance application that Mason wasn't on medication. Scott said, "All I can say is that it was an oversight." Rushing also asked Scott many times why she didn't more to save Mason from the fire. Scott said she tried to make the best decisions under the circumstances.
