Sheffield Police Chief Greg Rays says his officers will be fair, but plan to fully enforce the city's new underage curfew. Under the guidelines, no one under the age of 18 can be out after 11 p.m. Last week, a 16-year-old girl was picked up and charged with violating the ordinance. According to police reports, the teen was found walking along South Montgomery Avenue at 3 a.m. Ray says the teen had been warned once before and taken home. When she was seen again on the street, she was taken into custody. The case has been turned over to the juvenile probation office.
