Two men arrested in connection with home invasion in Center Star

19 year old Nicholas Robert Tackett and 20 year old Daimion Rashad Perkins have been arrested in connection to a home invasion that took place in the Center Star community. Chief Investigator Travis Clemmons, of the Lauderdale County Sheriff\'s Office, said the two men are accused of pushing their way into a residence where an 84-year-old woman lives. They are accused of stealing jewelry, a pistol, an iPod and a shotgun, but the shotgun was left outside the residence. The woman knew one of the suspects because he had been there before to visit her grandson who lives with her. Both men are charged with charged with second-degree burglary and second-degree theft of property. Perkins was released on bail of $4,000, while Tackett is still in jail on bail of $4,000.
