20 year old Jeremy David Jorgenson has been taken into custody by Franklin County authorities Authorities in connection with the burglary of a Colbert County house after he led deputies on a short chase. Jorgenson is charged with driving while under the influence, attempting to elude, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle, third-degree theft of property, second-degree receiving stolen property, criminal possession of burglary tools and third-degree criminal mischief. Investigators said that he is accused of breaking into a residence in the LaGarnge community of Colbert County and stealing a DVD player, flat-screen television and computer. Franklin County deputies stopped Jorgenson's vehicle just outside of Phil Campbell, at which point he tried to flee by driving through a front yard and into a corn field near Dogwood Drive, where he got out of the car and ran into a wooded area before deputies caught him and took him into custody. Jorgenson is being held in the Franklin County Jail and also faces charges from Colbert County.
