49 year old Jimmy Burns McKinney of Florence has been arrested after being accused of hitting a 12 year old girl in the face with his fist. Detectives said McKinney was arrested after an investigation into the allegations by Florence Police and the Lauderdale County Department of Human Resources. McKinney reportedly hit the girl because she refused to answer his questions about her mother. McKinney has been charged with child abuse and is being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center.
