Authorities are searching for two men who robbed Subway Sandwiches and Salads restaurant on Nathan Boulevard in Sheffield Thursday night. Sheffield detective Chad Carruth said two white men reportedly entered the business just before 9 p.m. One took out a hand-held police scanner and ordered the cashier to give him the money from the cash register. While both men acted as though they were armed, no weapon was shown to the cashier. After they got the money from the cashier, they made her lay on the floor behind the counter as they walked out toward the back of the building. Anyone knowing anything about the robbery or the suspects is asked to contact police at 383-1771 or Shoals Area CrimeStoppers at 386-8685.
