46 year old Gwenevere "Gwen" Meredith of Tuscumbia is in jail after being accused of stabbing her live in boyfriend, 45-year-old Gregory Johnson with a kitchen knife. Meredith is charged with domestic violence and second degree assault. Johnson was stabbed once in the left arm and taken to Helen Keller Hospital where he was treated and later released. Tuscumbia police detective Sgt. Stuart Setliff said the incident took place early Sunday morning at the apartment the couple shared. He added that they were reportedly arguing at the time of the stabbing. According to Johnson, he and Meredith were arguing, then she went into the kitchen, got the knife, returned to the living room, stabbed him in the arm and then ran out ther back door.
